SECOND CHANCE CHAMPIONS

TRANSPLANT AUSTRALIA

Just one donor has the power to save ten others.

Yet roughly 1,800 Australians are on transplant waitlists, with 13,000 more on dialysis. But given 1-in-3 Aussies are registered donors, and 4-in-5 support organ donation, we were stumped as to why the demand for more transplants wasn’t being met, year after year. As it turns out, a simple lack of conversation around family consent was a main culprits. But how do you inspire a nation to broach a less-than-inspiring topic?

You turn a national love and talking point (i.e. Sport) into your Trojan Horse.

We also created a social page to help answer FAQs about the Games and our campaign, and to debunk harmful myths that were preventing thousands of Aussies from receiving lifesaving treatment.
